There are lots of artist who came in this industry and failed to continue it as a career. 
But, some are even doing better and being success as well. Among that name, we had a singer who makes his own destiny and now, up to here with his own talent and interest. Yes, he is non other than Sugam Pokheral. Sugam Pokheral born in eastern Nepal is a highly acclaimed Nepali pop singer whose songs had created sensation in the Nepali pop music industry. Sugam had his artistic family background. Sugam Pokheral began his singing career when he was in teen age. Finally he debut in nepali music with the album ‘SUNYA’ in 2057 B.S. From the first album, he got name and fame. From the starting of his career, he established himself as a professional artist. Then after, Sugam released his second album, ‘SUTRA’ and his last album ‘SCHOOL PATHSHALA’ also doing well in nepali music. Not only in his album, he contributed his voice in lots of collection album also. He is popular in public with his hit numbers such as ‘Bhanekai hun mailey’, ‘Timi ma bhanda’, ‘Timro maan ko dailo’, 'Maya Ko Bato’, ‘Samalincha kahiley maan’, ‘School Pathshala’ etc. Sugam is a very good singer, composer, lyricist and he’s a professional R.J. still doing in Sagarmatha F.M. Nature wise he’s very humbled and polite. In his early days, he was so naughty. His family members including his brother ‘Sunil Pokharel’ didn’t expect this success in his life. Sugam Pokheral desired to create music for both, a more sophisticated audience and the duo's primarily teenage fan base. He’s also busy with lots of national and inter-national musical tour. I feel proud to be one of the Sugam’s close friends. Our relationship starts, when we both started our musical journey. We are, now more close as a f
riend than as an artist. As far as I know, Sugam is a very good friend and so down to earth in nature. He doesn’t have any superior attitude for being a singer. I personally took him as a very versatile composer and singer. He is also one of the professional pop singer in our industry. Everyone isn’t completely perfect in everything. So, what I wish him to be is, be little bit outgoing and he’s very reserved person. The more special things about we both is, we have a same marriage anniversary date which makes us more closely also. We go out together with our misses in this special day and also we both had a daughter. We, sometimes share ideas about how to care and treat our daughter. During the very first day of his musical career, I want him to be update with the demand of time and try different songs but later on he overcome himself. Anyway, I wish him all the best for his musical career.
Jems Pradhan (Singer) :
As a singer and composer, I found Sugam as a very talented and creative person. He struggled a
lot to established himself. He’s the one who choose and make his own destiny. His craziness, passion and interest for music lead him in this status. He’s much younger than me but I found the label which meets my thoughts. This is the reason of our closeness. As a brother or as a friend, he’s always very close with me. In my view, he’s one of the perfect singers who maintained him as well his voice according to the situation. I don’t see any negative attitude in him, rather I found him very helpful. The most important part that I like about him is his voice, the way of his singing and of course his composition. Looks also matters in this industry, so I suggest him to maintain physically also as you maintain as a professional singer and composer.
Naresh Dev Panta (Lyricst) :
It has been long time of our friendship. Sugam and I share lots of personal and professional things. He’s one of the best pop singer of Nepali music industry. For me, he’s a good composer, good singer, good lyricist and the most important things, a good human being. While singing, he feels the feelings of words and reflects it in his voice. He seriously takes the music and his musical career also. He knows how to change with time and be updated as well. One thing that I like to mention about Sugam is, he used to have ‘PAN PARAG’ a lot which is not good for health and for a vocal also. It had been two or more than two month that we didn’t get to meet. So, if he leaves this habit than it’s quite good but if he hadn’t still than i want to suggest him to leave this habit. Other, he’s one of the more powerful singer from whom we had a lot of hope and expectation.
Anil Singh (Singer) :
I still remember our first meeting. We both were already in the music industry. For the first time, I met him at the Anamnagar, Ghattekulo chowk. I was jamming with my friends and he also came there. From that time, I get to know about him personally and professionally. We rise at the same time in the Nepali Music industry, so most of the people might think us as a competitor but we never think ourselves like that. Rather, I take Sugam as a brother and he also behave me in the same way. As a singer also, I’m his fan. He’s always ready to guide the new comers. I personally don’t see any bad habit of Sugam. I know, he can change him with time. I wish him to create a new creation with the demand of young generation and continue his musical and family life successfully.
Liza Pokharel (Wife) :
It’s a frankly speaking segment, so I am really speaking frankly. First of all, I really feel proud to be the wife of Sugam Pokheral. I know how he struggled and came up this point. From the starting of his musical career, I’m with him and I always had a support for his musical career.We did love marriage and we were quite young but Sugam always became responsible as a husband also. Not only as a singer, as a husband also, he’s perfect. His honesty is the thing that always makes him so respectable. Now our family life is running so smoothly as his musical life. We had a one daughter and we both found our world within her. I found, sugam is more perfect and responsible as a father than a husband. Sometimes, I feel bored because of his busy schedule. We don’t get more time to spend together and his one of the bad habit is, he is not punctual of time. I hope, in near future, he will manage time very punctually.
